IHD opens a new location in Brooklyn, bringing its rapid-testing capabilities and human-centric approach to the east coast
LOS ANGELES & BROOKLYN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Innovative Health Diagnostics (IHD), empowering every person by providing access to accurate, clinical testing, when and where it matters most, announced today that it will open a new 4,000-square foot facility in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The new lab is located at 20 Grand Ave., Suite 602, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11205, allowing IHD to further expand its services, which include fertility and in vitro fertilization (IVF) testing; FDA donor testing for families completing surrogacies; COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antibody testing, and more.
“We are up for the challenge of solving big problems in the industry of care and are passionate about getting our tests into the hands of those who need it most,” said David White, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at IHD. “By opening another location, we can empower more people to take control of their health, while promoting dignity and easy access to care with our at-home testing, which has proven especially critical around COVID-19 and its new variants.”
IHD’s Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) facilities have continued to serve the communities of California since 2011, taking a human-centric approach and putting people first by enabling access to accurate readings through its at-home testing. Living this mission in real-time, the company was quick to meet the increased demand of COVID-19 testing during the global pandemic, rapidly deploying kits and even making home visits under partnerships to safely help get people back to work.
Dr. George Jour will be the Director of the IHD New York location, holding the new facility to the same community commitments and quality care.
"I am honored to serve the Brooklyn community through IHD and its services," said Dr. Jour, Director of IHD’s New York laboratory. “Laboratory test results play a critical role in helping patients and providers make informed decisions that can directly impact the quality of a person's life.”
